Master’s Degree(Library Science) Candidates Recruitment at Cabinet Secretariat In New Delhi 2010

Applications are invited from the eligible candidates working in central government to fill up the following post:-

Senior Librarian & Information Officer,Group ‘A’ Gazetted
Pay Scale: Rs.12000/–16,500/-(Pre-revised) (revised to pay band PB-3 Rs. 15,600-39,100/- with Grade Pay of Rs.7,600/-)
Number of Post: One
Eligibility: Officers under the Central Government:
(a)(i) Holding analogous posts on regular basis,or
(ii) With 5 years regular service in post in the scale of pay of Rs.10,000-15,200/-(pre-revised) or equivalent; and
(b) Possessing the following educational qualification and experience:
Essential:
(i) Master’s degree of a recognised university or equivalent.
(ii) Master’s Degree in Library Science of a recognised University/Institute or equivalent; and
(iii) 7 years professional experience in a supervising capacity in a library of standing.
Desirable:
(i) Experience of computerising library activities and networking with other libraries.
(ii) Professional experience in a specific subject handled by Department/Ministries.
Age Limit: The maximum age limit for appointment by deputation (including short-term transfer) shall not be exceeding 56 years as on the closing date of receipt of applications.

Note:
The period of deputation including period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organisation/department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed three years.
